Stabilus was founded in Koblenz, Germany in 1934, for the development and production of hydropneumatic devices. In 1962, they were the first company to produce gas springs in series and have since seen a continual expansion in a wide range of products.
In 1972 production began in the USA, and today the company has an annual production of more than 140 million parts. This makes Stabilus the leader for gas springs and dampers in the world.
