Engineers in their Michigan and Texas facilities utilize state-of-the-art prototyping processes such as 3-D CAD Modeling and Solid modeling to construct prototypes of new HVAC components for your car. After this process is complete, Sanden performs validation and extensive lab/field testing on all products to ensure proper operation in real-world conditions.
Noise-Vibration-Harshness tests are performed both on and off test vehicles after the compressors are submitted to amplified condition simulation on shaker tables, so simulate a lifetime on the road. The wind tunnel is designed to test application-based heat dissipation and is able to accept vehicles up to massive full-sized class 8 semi-trucks.
In addition to these tests to provide a highly efficient, smooth-running compressor, Sanden invests heavily into their environmental consciousness and regulation adherence.
As pioneers in the industry, Sanden has moved into the OEM market as Original Equipment Suppliers for SAAB and GM.
It also holds such accomplishments as being among the first to develop and produce high-efficiency compressors for electric vehicles, in preparation for the recent surge of EVs into the world marketplace.
