The 2016 eEuroparts Swap Meet and Car Show

With just a little less than one month and counting, we are all battening down the hatches for a blowout at the 2016 eEuroparts Swap Meet and Car show.  Materials are pouring in from the vendors that supply the parts/lifeblood that keep your cars on the road and the lights on in the warehouse.  Thanks to the great efforts by the marketing department, the word is out and the number of Facebook RSVP’s alone are signaling that this show will be bigger still than last year’s amazing success, which was close to packing our complex.

When:  May 1 9am-3pm – Rain or Shine

Where: eEuroparts.com Campus, 800 Marshall Phelps Road, Windsor CT 06095

Who: Open to all European Cars!

How Much??:  FREE to attend, just show up!  If you want to sell parts you must reserve a vendor space HERE

As a bonus, we will have our kiosk running all day, simply sign into your eEuroparts account on it and $15 will instantly be delivered as a credit! Here’s some fresh details on what to expect when you get here:

The Swap Meet

If you are a parts hoarder looking to clean out some inventory and get some new life assigned to the parts taken up by projects you will probably never complete, the swap meet will be the perfect place to send them along to people looking to perfect their own projects in progress.  We have a bunch of reserved spots waiting for vendors, but we always need more so if you have a pile of rims, a few seats, and the requisite pile of other parts from a car you no longer have, now’s the time to thin the herd.  Reserve your spot HERE, it’s only $5!

Conversely, if you are in the market for bits and pieces, the swap meet is the perfect place to pick up the odds you need to complete your car.  Also last year was a great place to pick up random automobilia like classic and retro shirts and posters, tools, dealer signs, and other cool stuff to spiff your garage up.  If you only have a few things, bring them and see if any of the vendors are up to buy or trade!

We will have some of our vendors coming in to hang out under the big tent we will put in the middle of the show, doing demos, giving away swag, and ready to answer any questions you have about the companies that make the parts in your car.

The Show

Already hundreds of people are planning on bringing their cars out to the show, and with the mild winter you can be sure that a lot of projects will have made great progress.  Get ready to see some of the best condition classic and modern European cars, as well as the dedicated group of enthusiasts that take their modifications to the extremes.  Perfect E30’s and C900’s mixing it up with Audi’s on air, busses on bags, and roofracks with everything but the kitchen sink (we will have a prize ready if anyone actually brings a kitchen sink).  The show will take up a huge part of the complex, and because we don’t just have a parking lot here, the setup will be really cool to be a part of.  We will have an even bigger race car section than last year, so if you have a Euro race car let us know and get in on it!

When you’re here posting photos to Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, use the Hashtag #eeuroswapmeet16 and we will have an awesome gallery by the end of the event!  Thanks to Flosser Lighting for sponsoring our own social media coverage (keen an eye out for our own posts, of course #eeuroswapmeet16), and also for supporting our huge aftermarket lighting catalog.

Imagine this entire complex, with every square foot covered in European goodness

The Stage

This year we will have three bands on the stage, which will fill the air with an excellent selection of original rock and covers.  The Scattered will get the ball rolling and will be playing a variety of contemporary and classic rock covers.  After them, for lunch, a local band called Polar Planet with some very cool original hits the stage to put on a set of original music that will truly get your attention.  They opened for Panic! at the Disco, Atlas Genius and Local H at last year’s 104 fest and knocked the crowd over.  After that will be Mission Transmission, our eEuro Car Show and Swap Meet vets.  They will be playing an ecclectic mix of pop punk originals and remixed popular covers that drew a crowd last year.

The stage is presented by Febi Bilstein and CRP (Continental belts, Pentosin, Rein, Ajusa, and AIE).   Thanks for making this happen, and also for making sure we have a huge catalog of quality OES and aftermarket parts that people can be confident of when they install them into their car.

The Food

Everything good comes in threes, and along with the three awesome bands we have three awesome food trucks.  The first will be here for breakfast, and a breakfast vet from last year as well.  The Uncle Benny’s Kitchen truck will have a great selection of standard fair, from breakfast sandwiches and coffee in the morning, to burgers, brats, and things like that for lunch.  The second food truck will be more like a snack truck, Chompers.  Chompers makes it simple, offering two types of “crunchy balls of goodness” as they say.  Deep fried Chicken Parm balls, and deep fried bacon cheesburger.  Finally, we have something really cool that generated some significant buzz on facebook.  Poutine Gourmet will have the Canadian delicacy of the same name served up hot for lunch.  If you’ve never had poutine, imagine the best seasoned fries you’ve ever had, then slather on some savory cheese curds and coat with homemade gravy.  We hope the line doesn’t get too long.

These trucks are brought here thanks to the mighty German auto parts giant Bosch, and the mighty German auto parts conglomerate Schaeffler, which encapsulates the OEM brands INA, LUK, FAG, and Ruville.

The Prizes!

There will be a ton of ways to win something when you show up.  One way is through the people’s choice.  Upon entry everyone will get a ballot with a few categories on it, and a corresponding number card for your dash.  During the day as you walk around, keep that card with you and fill out the numbers of the cars that you think should win those categories.  Each winner will receive a custom made trophy made of SAAB engine and transmission parts (we have a few after a few seasons of racing), as well as money towards your next eEuroparts purchase.

Also given to you when you show up is a single raffle ticket.  You can buy more, and you should because our vendors have supplied thousands of dollars in eEuroparts credit, which you know you want.  To streamline the process, we will have a tent near the stage drawing raffle winners all day long.  We will also be broadcasting numbers using our twitter and instagram accounts, both are @eeuroparts, and will have a large board that you can check to see if your number comes up.  We will have piles of $25, $50, and $100 gift cards, as well as cool universal parts and accessories that you’ll dig.  One VERY cool price is a trip for two to the New England Forest Rally on the VIP Bus, a coach full of free craft beer and catered food that goes to different spectator areas on-stage, to one of the biggest rally events in America.  This is almost a $500 value!

The Winners Circle is where we will give away these prizes, right next to the stage where we will announce winners, and it is brought to you by the worldwide genuine SAAB supplier ORIO.  The raffle prizes themselves are sponsored and provided by:
